He is without doubt the Barclays Premier League most popular goalkeepers and everyone in the goalkeepers union love to know what gloves he is wearing. With the Premier League about to return we thought we should bering you up close and personal with the latest gloves to be made and worn by England’s Number One Joe Hart.

Hart will wear the Neo Pro 2 design for the 2012/13 season and once again using a Double Barrel (shotgun) cut which is now his preferred cut, the unique glove cut sees both the index and middle finger as a semi roll (negative tops) with both little fingers as negative with a breathable textile material. The thumb is wrapped over and is stitched on the inside to give a snug secure fit.
The new Neo Pro 2 Shotgun has been constructed using a 4mm Hyper-Hesion palm which provides 20% better grip than the standard super soft foams as used by many brands, this latest foam by Umbro has amazing grip in dry and wet conditions, this latex foam will also be the same as used by Joe Hart and Jack Butland.
Once we had tried on this glove we were impressed, first impressions were the nice mix between the Geometera and Neo pro 1 which were both huge hits in the keepers union, but what impresses us the most is that Umbro have improved the over all fit and feel of the glove, the Double Barrel construction gives an amazing hand to ball contact and the snug secure fit is completed with the neoprene backhand which help the glove hug the hand as where the Geometera always felt quite lose.
Whist the glove may not be every-body’s cup of tea here here at The Six Yard Box we are more than impressed with this latest Umbro glove, there is no wonder why England’s Number One choices to wear this glove and glove cut.
How’s the sizing compared to Nike vg3? I use a size 10 in the vg3s, should i go for a 10 in the neo pros aswell?
